Canadian director Ryan Byrne has a new project that will take him through the next decade. His newest project, October 30, will be a series of three feature horror films, each set to release every year. They are All Hallows Eve (2015), Lady In White (2018), and Devils Night (2019). All the films will involve the same story line, which is described as follows:
Set in the fictional world of Pearl Lake, the films follow the heroine Jade Miller as she and a group of victims embark on a quest to stop the Pearl Family, and thus ensure the safety of the town and those around them from its leader, schizophrenic Ethan Pearl. Brothers Jacob and Ethan continuously blur the edges of good vs evil as they claim innocence from scandals surrounding missing people in the town of Clear Water Falls. Meanwhile, The Lady in White, a deep town mystery, and forgotten past of the local community, is being dug up by a group of teens searching for answers about this all to familiar date, October 30th.
Although the films will all take place in the same story line, there will also be a companion book series, which will add and deviate from the original plot lines.
Considered to be an homage to the biggest and most successful horror films, with the first films budget at a minimal $15,000 thousand, the entire series will roughly take ten years to complete. All three films were filmed simultaneously in Byrnes native country. For more information, check out their website, or watch the trailer here.
